The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) invites electronic clinical quality measure (eCQM) implementers to review and provide feedback on a sample of draft eligible professional/eligible clinician eCQM flows. This can be done through the Change Review Process (CRP) on the ONC Project Tracking System (Jira) CQM project. The eligible professional/eligible clinician eCQM flows are designed to assist in interpretation of the eCQM logic and as a resource for implementing eCQMs. These draft eCQM flows incorporate feedback from eCQM stakeholders to streamline information and use plain language. This opportunity will allow CMS to learn from eCQM implementers, such as Electronic Health Record (EHR) vendors and stakeholders, who have the technical capabilities to review the draft eCQM flows and provide input on their format and content.

The draft eCQM flows are available June 3, 2019 to June 14, 2019. To report questions and comments regarding the updated eCQMs for 2020 reporting, please leave a comment below. To submit technical questions and issues related to the development and implementation of the CQL standard, visit the CQL Issue Tracker. Note that an ONC Project Tracking System (Jira) account is required to ask a question or comment. To find out more about eCQMs, visit the eCQI Resource Center
