Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS951. The available workaround outlined in EKI-32 is directed to laboratories. The measure steward, the National Kidney Foundation, plans to address this change to allow the two individual tests in a future version of the measure as a part of the Annual Update cycle.

    • When validating KED eCQM results, 50% of patients not meeting the measure have a uACR of "unable to calculate."

CQM-6907 addresses this issue.  The workaround suggested is directed to laboratories.  Is there an EMR "workaround" so providers can get credit for meeting the screening intent of the measure as this a process measure, not an outcome measure?  The HEDIS KED measure allows for numerator compliance if the two individual tests are performed within four days of each other.
