Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS996v5: Appropriate Treatment for ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Patients in the Emergency Department (ED) measure. As you note, the issue of accurately documenting the PCI procedure in the EHR has been previously brought to our attention. The measure developer is continuing to investigate this issue as part of the Annual Update process and will work with CMS as appropriate to reflect any refinements to the measure specifications or produce educational materials for providers. We appreciate your patience and input.

Please refer to CQM-5966.  Discussion of "across the lesion" vs "case start time".  Please let me know if this was clarified during annual review as I do not see anything updated on version 5 to show this update.  Please let me know.  Thank you.
