We have a follow-up inquiry to CQM-6635, which stated that for CMS69v11, per the measure guidance, BMIs should be generated from heights and weights measured during the measurement period and not historical or patient reported data, so a height that was documented in a prior year cannot be used. However, this does not align with clinical practice especially for adults where height is not measured at every annual visit. Weight however is updated and BMI is recalculated within the measurement period. Is there any flexibility, or ability to advocate to CMS to consider modification of the spec?
