      ​​Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS69: Preventive Care and Screening: Body Mass Index (BMI) Screening and Follow-Up Plan. CMS69v9 has been suppressed for the 2021 performance period, while guidance has been released for reporting CMS69v10 for the 2022 measurement period. Per the 2021 performance period suppression announcement, for each measure that a MIPS eligible clinician submits that is significantly impacted by clinical guideline changes or other changes that CMS believes may result in patient harm or misleading results, the total available measure achievement points are reduced by 10 points.

      In December 2021 CMS announced suppression of CMS69v9,

      The measure suppression is due to a misalignment between the numerator logic and the numerator as described in the measure header.       For the CMS69v10 CMS published guidance, posted on the ECQI resource center, to support measure implementation for 2022.

      I'm part of a registry reaching out on behalf of several confused practices. Please confirm that if a MIPS participant reports on the eCQM CMS69v9 (eCQM for measure 128) for the 2021 performance period, that the measure would be suppressed and the denominator reduced by 10? The reason we want to confirm this is because CMS released the following, which seems to apply to 2022 but discusses 2021 and we want to be sure that we are giving proper guidance to our clients. The following email from CMS seems to suggest that eCQM CMS69v9 could still be reported and scored for 2021.  Please clarify
