Functional Requirements and Pilot Guide Development
The Pilot Phase of eLTSS is now complete. Thank you to all those who participated!
The Pilot phase is preceded by the Functional Requirements and Pilot Guide Development phase. It is during this phase that materials and resources are developed and/or identified to assist organizations in their pilot planning.
This phase accomplishes the following:
- Introduces exemplar industry adopted technologies and standards that can support functional requirements outlined in the eLTSS Use Case
- Presents a tiered approach for piloting and evaluating of these technologies and standards
- Develops documentation to guide the execution of eLTSS Pilots
These documents can be found within the Pilots page under the Pilot Starter Kit, within the eLTSS Pilot Guide zip file.
Functional Requirements Matrix
The most updated version of this document is posted on the eLTSS PILOTS PAGE, within the eLTSS Pilot guide file.
Functional requirements for creating, sharing and administering an eLTSS Plan have been previously defined as part of the eLTSS Use Case work. These functional requirements have subsequently been used to populate a Functional Requirements Matrix (FRM) that breaks down the Use Case functionality line by line into groupings of activities and Pilot Tiers to help organizations plan their Pilot work.
View the recording here for a presentation on how to use the Functional Requirements Matrix in your pilot planning (NOTE: The overview portion begins at the 21:17 mark on the video timeline): Functional Requirements Matrix Overview Presentation, Aug. 6, 2015.
Environmental Scan
The eLTSS Environmental Scan consists of exemplar technical solutions and frameworks including their associated exemplar standards and technologies that have been identified through eLTSS Concert Series Presentations, and independent research and/or vendor engagement through outreach at industry conferences or other forums. The information found through this process can assist in satisfying eLTSS Functional Requirement groupings across all three Tiers of Pilot Implementation. Working Draft Domain Harmonization Matrix
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a final draft. The most updated version of this document is posted on the eLTSS PILOTS PAGE within the eLTSS Pilot guide file. Do not reference this version for pilot activities.
As part of the eLTSS Plan Content Sub-Workgroup, the eLTSS community has defined a set of domains/subdomains and exemplar question/answer sets that an eLTSS Plan would need to include. The eTLSS Support Team is working to identify sample data sets and sample coded data elements that could be derived from the identified question/answer sets. This information will ultimately be folded into the Functional Requirements Matrix, along with exemplar standards and technologies that are being identified to support eLTSS pilots. Download the Domain Harmonization Matrix here: eLTSS Domain Harmonization Matrix_20150817.xlsx
For more information regarding domain harmonization and the eLTSS Plan SWG, please refer to the eLTSS Plan Content Sub-Workgroup page.
Three-Tiered Pilot Approach
The most updated version of this document is posted on the eLTSS PILOTS PAGE within the eLTSS Pilot guide file.
The eLTSS community has contributed to a three-tiered approach to piloting. This approach was presented as part of the All-Hands community work and has been vetted by the group to most effectively assist organizations in determining how they can best pilot the eLTSS Plan.
