Recently we analyzed Device Applied and Lab Test Performed template (QRDA1 Vol2 STU5.2) and found that these templates can take Relevant dateTime or Relevant Period form for effectiveTime element based on measure. Please refer Device Applied (Page 516, point 8) and Lab Test Performed (Page 233, point 8).
Question here is: if a given measure is asking for Relevant dateTime and EMR vendor provided Relevant Period (and we import it into our EMR system), then during QRDA1 export:
1. Is it ok to consider low or high element (giving precedence to high element if present) from Relevant Period and export (print on QRDA1 files) as Relevant dateTime during QRDA1 export from our EMR system?
2. If answer is “No” to above question 1, then is ok to ignore this data for clinical computation consideration and it will not have any impact on our certification as we are not honoring this data because of incorrect effectiveTime form provided by other vendor for a given measure.
