We are testing 2021 Submissions and finding some discrepancies. For CMS108v9, we are calculating the following patients as Numerator Met, but CMS is showing results in Initial Population and Denominator, but not in the Numerator. It appears the issue may be related to Data types that allow both Relevant Datetime and Relevant Period.
- For Patient 1, in the definition ‘No VTE Prophylaxis Due to Patient Refusal on Day of or Day After Procedure’ the Procedure, Performed: General or Neuraxial Anesthesia uses Relevant Datetime in the
QRDA-1, but the measure is looking for Relevant period. Per JIRA ticketsQRDA-930andQRDA-958(and others), there is a workaround that was to be implemented to accept either Relevant Period or Relevant Datetime for Datatypes that can accept either in JIRA TicketQKI-2. Therefore, we were expecting a workaround to be implemented as stated in JIRA TicketQKI-2. Can you please tell us why in the CMS results it is not? (See relevant definitions and codes in attachment) - For Patient 2, in the definition ‘Encounter With VTE Prophylaxis Received From Day of Start of Hospitalization To Day After Admission or Procedure’ the Procedure, Performed: General or Neuraxial Anesthesia & VTEProphylaxis (Medication, Administered: Low Molecular Weight Heparin for VTE Prophylaxis) both use Relevant Datetime in the
QRDA-1, but the measure is looking for Relevant period. Same as above, we were expecting a workaround to be implemented as stated in JIRA TicketQKI-2. Can you please tell us why in the CMS results it is not? (See relevant definitions and codes in attachment)
