The denominator logic for the LVSD (decreased LVEF) is correct. As our measure language states in the denominator field – “Equals Initial Patient Population with a current or prior LVEF < 40%” – if a patient currently has or has ever had a decreased LVEF (LVSD), they should receive beta-blocker therapy; it is NOT limited to being active at the time of reporting.
