Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS130v15 (2027 Performance Period). The measure numerator includes Stool DNA with Fecal Immunochemical Test (sDNA-FIT) testing during the measurement period or the two years prior to the measurement period. In the measure specification, qualifying sDNA-FIT tests are represented by the codes included in the "sDNA FIT Test" value set, specifically LOINC 77353-1 (Noninvasive colorectal cancer DNA and occult blood screening [Interpretation] in Stool Narrative) and LOINC 77354-9 (Noninvasive colorectal cancer DNA and occult blood screening [Presence] in Stool).

The measure specification is not prescriptive regarding the specific brand or manufacturer of the test. Rather, the measure looks for the applicable codes represented in the measure value sets.

If you have questions about reading the measure specification or understanding data requirements, you may refer to the "Guide for Reading eCQMs" for additional guidance. If you have questions regarding implementing the measure, you may refer to the "Implementation Checklist for eCQM Annual Update" for additional guidance. These resources can be found in the eCQI Resource Center: https://ecqi.healthit.gov/ep-ec?qt-tabs_ep=ecqm-resources&global_measure_group=eCQMs. If you have questions regarding CMS quality program reporting requirements, please review the QPP website or contact the QPP Helpdesk at QPP@cms.hhs.gov.

    • Do results from a new over the counter FIT kit count for the metric colorectal cancer screening metric? It was FDA approved in 2021. https://topazfits.com/

A new over the counter (direct-to-consumer) FIT kit is available called TOPAZ FIT. Is there any reason a result from this kit would not count for the metric? It was FDA approved in 2021. https://topazfits.com/. The numerator guidance appears generic enough but requesting confirmation.
