Add Persistent Asthma (5281000124103) to the Persistent Asthma Value Set

      In general, NLM and ONC are working to align data elements and value sets more effectively both to ensure clinical correctness and ease of implementation. We will address this when the measure specification is updated.

    • minor, but it will make our numbers off in the CQM (CMS id of 126 and NQF id of 36) if clinicians are choosing persistent asthma and it isn't in the value set.

      The list of asthma SNOMED-CT codes has mild persistent, moderate persistent and severe persistent, but the U.S. extension has added just persisent asthma, so once clinicians start using this code, those patients don't meet the crieteria.
