    • Causing encounters to fail the measure

We have had a few encounters in which the patient is placed on a heparin drip during the eSTK-5 measure period, either on the day of or the day after. Since a heparin drip is not an allowable antithrombotic in VSAC, it would make sense to exclude a patient from the eSTK-5 measure if they receive one on the day of or the day after hospital arrival. If it cannot be added as exclusion criteria, perhaps as an exception? Thanks!
