PC-07 Eclampsia as a Preadmission Risk Factor

    • We have a patient who was transferred to us already eclamptic, but only preeclampsia codes are counted in the risk variable adjustment codes.

      We have a patient that was transferred into us having already had an eclamptic seizure. On her coding she has O15.1 POA for eclampsia.  However, this doesn't seem to be a diagnosis code for risk variable adjustment, only preeclampsia codes are listed for risk variable adjustment. Can this be changed? Thank you!
