The exclusions for the measure are age based for certain areas including frailty or advanced illness. If a patient dies during the year at 65yrs old but had the patient lived through the year would have been 66 yrs old, what age should be used for exclusion purposes?

The exclusions for the measure are age based for certain areas including frailty or advanced illness. If a patient dies during the year at 65yrs old but had the patient lived through the year would have been 66 yrs old, what age should be used for exclusion purposes?

Scenario:  A patient dies before the end of measurement period at 65yrs old.

However, had the patient lived through the completion of the measurement period, the patient would be 66 yrs old.  For the exclusion purpose of the measure, would this person be 66 and therefore eligible for exclusion with frailty/advance age categories or 65yrs old?
