And episode is defined as each inpatient hospitalization or encounter that ends during the measurement period. b) Per "Description" in the specifications: This measure assess the number of inpatient hospital days for patients age 18 and older with a hyperglycemic event (harm) per the total qualifying inpatient hospital days for the encounter.
