Thank you for your question regarding CMS155v14 (2026 Performance Period). The intent of this measure is to identify encounters performed by primary care providers (PCPs) or obstetrician/gynecologists (OB/GYNs) in the Initial Population. However, the denominator encounter logic and codes are not provider specific. As specified in the measure logic, visits that qualify for the Initial Population are those encoded with any of the codes listed in the value sets under the “Qualifying Encounters” definition. As of now, providers can decide which measures they want to report and need to apply the necessary restrictions at the individual provider level.

For nutrition counseling, you will need EHR documentation of interventions performed using any codes from the "Counseling for Nutrition" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.195.12.1003) value set. Similarly, for height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) percentile, you will need EHR documentation of the physical exam performed using any codes from the "BMI percentile"(2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.121.12.1012), "Height" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.121.12.1014), and "Weight" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.121.12.1015) value sets. Clinically equivalent services may be mapped to the codes in the value set. If mapping is done, you should maintain documentation in case of a CMS audit.

For questions regarding specialty group reporting requirements, please submit questions to the QPP helpdesk. If you have questions about reading the measure specification or understanding data requirements, you may refer to the "Guide for Reading eCQMs" for additional guidance. • Impacting whether providers can choose it to be one of their top reporting measures or not

Can asthmatoligists and Podiatrists report on the measure CMS 155v14? As i see in the measure description it says visits need to be completed by ob/gym or pcps, what if providers see children and adolescents of age and give them the nutrition and education counselling and also get their bmi?
