A combination PHQ 2/9 depression screening questionnaire calculates a PHQ9 score based on the questions answered by the patient.
Specification from the eCQI resource center the measure notes it is is looking for a PHQ9 (or PHQ9 modified) score for both the denominator and for the numerator.
If an organization has an electronic combined PHQ 2/9 form where the patient is asked the first 2 questions (PHQ2) and if the score for those first 2 questions is 3 or greater, the remaining 7 questions open up to be answered and calculate a score.
But if the first 2 questions of the PHQ2 score is 0-2, then the remaining questions do not open up for the patient to answer. Would this score of a 0-2 with just the first 2 questions answered (out of the 9) be acceptable for the depression remission numerator score?
