      O99.334 Smoking (tobacco) complicating childbirth is not considered a risk factor for PC-07. Our coding department says that it cannot code for nicotine dependence without nicotine dependence or a tobacco use disorder being documented in the chart. This is extra burdensome to get this specific type of documentation from the providers.
