    • Resolution: Cypress is amended to require just enough data to provide confirmatory proof that a patient meets a criteria. It is not neccessary to provide additional data for certification.

This is the Cypress variant of CQM-620.

CMS has asked at a high level that we not send extraneous patient data (e.g. CQM-620). We have seen the recent clarification CQM-629, which explains that we need only include the data elements relevant to the populations that the patient is in, and not all data elements of the measure.

There’s been another clarification on the QRDA-I standard in the structured documents workgroup regarding disjunctive criteria and the so-called "smoking gun" rule, namely that if a criterion can be satisfied by one of several data elements, we need only send one of those data elements (although it’s still permissible to send all data elements). We think that sending only one data element in this case fits with CMS’ guidance that we not send extra data.

If we do only send one element for disjunctive criteria, will we still be able to pass Cypress validation? From the test patients and Rob's answer on CQM-620 this seems to be the case, but I wanted to verify.
