    • Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS819v3 and CMS819v4, Hospital Harm - Opioid-Related Adverse Events. Based on the information provided, no opioid was administered therefore the encounter would not qualify for the initial population.

      In some PCA  (Patient-Controlled Analgesia) there is charting in EHR workflows of 0 mL in MAR charting.   Our understanding is that if 0 volume is administered should NOT qualify for the eCQM as an opioid administration.  Can you confirm that is the correct interpretation of the eCQM specifications?
