In validation of this measure, I am finding a lot of patients are not being included into the measure because the MST is being completed prior to the admission time.  This is occurring in outpatient procedure settings that transition to inpatient.  Patients that screen positive have an automatic dietary consult.  However, we do not capture the consult or assessment because it populates before the admission time.

Why can't the specifications indicate that the initial screen occur starting the same day as the initial date of the inpatient encounter instead of to the specific time?
