      Thank you for inquiring about the Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan eCQM. We will consider this change for future updates to the measure. However, please note that if the patient has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder at any time before the qualifying encounter, they will be excluded from the measure. For patients who do not meet this exclusion and are being managed by psychiatry for depression, you may document SNOMED CT 410234004 (Management of mental health treatment (procedure)) or SNOMED CT 410232000 (Mental health treatment assessment (procedure)) and note that you advised the patient to continue with their current depression plan of care. Please refer to known issue EKI-28 (https://oncprojectracking.healthit.gov/support/projects/EKI/issues/EKI-28).

      When reviewing the list of medications, has there been any consideration to include quetiapine is the list of depression medications.  

      As an antipsychotic medication, quetiapine is used for bipolar depression; as well as in mgmt in depression.  

      Currently, I have a patient who is being managed by psychiatry with this medication.

      Could we get some input on this?
