      Thank you for your question about CMS334v6 / PC-02 Cesarean Birth. The logic for this measure does not look for treatment but rather, the diagnosis of genital herpes which would, as a Denominator Exclusion, remove the case from the Denominator. Please see logic below:

      For PC-2 Denominator Exclusions criteria 

      Does the genital herpes have to treated during the encounter or is it only considered active when there are active lesions? For example - we have some cases where the patient is treated for genital herpes but does have active lesions and the ICD 10 codes are excluding the cases automatically from our Denominator.
