Per the measure’s guidance section, it "assesses the most recent depression screening completed either during the qualifying encounter or within the 14 calendar days prior to that encounter”. Therefore, if a screen was completed at a non-qualifying encounter and then a qualifying encounter occurred within 14 days afterwards, the screen completed during the non-qualifying encounter could be used. For example: • Qualifying encounter- 3/4/25 (screen completed, positive for mild depression, no follow-up provided) • Non-qualifying encounter- 7/7/25 (depression screen completed, negative/no depression) MOST RECENT SCREEN • Qualifying encounter- 7/11/25 (no screen completed) • Measure outcome = in Numerator; criteria met because the MOST RECENT screen (7/7/25) was completed within 14days before the qualifying encounter, and no follow-up was required for the negative screen.

We are looking for confirmation on which encounter should be counted for the Depression screenings in the Numerator. Can it be on any encounter or does it have to be on the encounter in the IP? The guidance states guidance says "Depression screening is required once per measurement period, not at all encounters",  The wording for adult screening in the human readable spec is: Last(["Assessment, Performed": "Adult depression screening assessment"] AdultDepressionScreening     with "Qualifying Encounter During Measurement Period" QualifyingEncounter       such that Global."NormalizeInterval"(AdultDepressionScreening.relevantDatetime, AdultDepressionScreening.relevantPeriod) 14 days or less on or before day of start of QualifyingEncounter.relevantPeriod         and AdultDepressionScreening.result is not null     sort by start of Global."NormalizeInterval"(relevantDatetime, relevantPeriod) ) We are interpreting that to mean any qualifying encounter during the measurement period, not specifically the qualifying encounter from the IP. Can you please confirm if we are interpreting this incorrectly? Thank you
