    • Inconsistent implementation of Age calculation between eCQMs.

In the Ip-ExRad eCQM, the Age calculation logic is different from all of the other hospital level eCQMs implemented so far.

IP-Ex rad uses the start of the "Measurement Period" to calculate the Age, whereas all other eCQMs use start of the "Inpatient Encounter".

      Age calculation logic from IP-ExRad

Age calculation logic from other eCQMs

We are trying to understand the reason why the IP-ExRad eCQM Age calculation is different from all other eCQMs.

Would there have been an impact to the eCQM if the Age calculation would have been implemented to maintain consistency with all of the other inpatient eCQMs?

Thanks in advance for your explanation.
