Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS124v13 (2025 Performance Period). The data criteria for 'HPV Test' and 'Pap Test' follows the CMS Measures Management System Blueprint's recommendations of using LOINC code system for the clinical concept of 'Laboratory Test'. There are no other recommended code systems for the clinical concept or its QDM datatypes, which is why the value sets 'HPV Test' and "Pap Test" do not contain any SNOMED codes. Please find links to the Blueprint below for your reference. We do not provide prescriptive guidance on mapping the value sets. Equivalent services can be mapped to the measure's value sets. If mapping is done, you should maintain documentation in case of a CMS audit.

    • PAP/HPV Cotest mappings allowed?

For CMS 124, I have a client that is sending a SNOMED code for a PAP/HPV Cotest being performed and would like it to be mapped to a code within the HPV Test value set. Would this be possible, and if so, does it matter which code it is mapped to? The SNOMED in question is "21151000175105 - Cervical papanicolaou smear and human papillomavirus deoxyribonucleic acid detection cotesting report (record artifact)".
