      Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS646v5. You correctly identified an edge case where a patient who received chemotherapy or radiation treatment documented solely with a relevantDatetime, and not a relevantPeriod, in the 6 months prior to tumor staging does not meet the Denominator Exclusion definition. To promote interoperability and reduce implementer burden, we will consider including the use of Global.“NormalizeInterval” in the “Has Excluding Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy Procedure Before Staging” definition in a future annual update cycle.

      If this element only has a relevant datetime that does start 6 months or less it won't satisfy this condition even though the timing is correct just within a seperate field. I do remember within this issue, CYPRESS-2299, its stated that we choose either relevant datetime or relevant period depending on what is provided through the QRDA. Is there a reason why this doesn't implement NormalizeInterval()?
