      Thank you for your question regarding CMS1028/PC-07: Severe Obstetric Complications. Hospitalizations admitted for inpatient acute care with a discharge date that ends during the measurement period that undergo a delivery procedure would be included in the measure’s initial population. If the procedure, including the delivery of the placenta, is mapped to a code included in the value set "Delivery Procedures" (2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1045.59), the case would be included for evaluation of the measure.

      Are patients that deliver babies outside the hospital but deliver the placenta only in the hospital included in PC 07? If they are not how do they get excluded?
