Thank you for your question about CMS334v5 Cesarean Birth. Without the OB delivery assessment DateTime, the Estimated Gestational Age (EGA) result is null, because the EGA must be 24 hours or less before the time of delivery. The logic then looks for a gestational age diagnosis based on coding that is mapped to the value set "37 to 42 Plus Weeks Gestation" (2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1110.68). We hope this helps.

Case has an Estimated Gestational Age, however there is no OB Delivery Assessment to fime the Estimated Gestational Age against. Does this make the Estimated Gestational Age data invalid or is it seen as Null? If Null then the Diagnosis for Gestational Age should be used. If having a coded value for Estimated Gestational Age in the record makes it only invalid and not Null, Diagnosis would not be used? Please help with the intent. Thank you
