Since the Hydrocodone in your example are different strengths (Hydrocodone 5-325mg and Hydrocodone 7.5-325mg), they will have different RXNorm codes and would be considered distinct. A patient prescribed both Hydrocodone 5-325mg and Hydrocodone 7.5-325mg at discharge would be included in the measure numerator.

      For eCQM Safe Use of Opioids, should a patient be included in the numerator if they are discharged on two different doses of the same medication? Example: Hydrocodone 5-325mg and Hydrocodone 7.5-325mg?
