Thank you for your inquiry. The measure steward, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, will evaluate ICD-10 L02 codes for the value sets during a future measure specification update. They are currently excluded and we are unable to make changes to the published value sets.

Not including the L02 ICD-10 codes for abscess as a comorbid or competing condition for respiratory conditions is resulting in our providers failing CMS -146 Appropriate Testing for Pharyngitis, as antibiotics are indicated for an abscess and do not require a strep screen.
