      Hello and thank you for the inquiry regarding CMS72/STK-5: Antithrombotic Therapy By End of Hospital Day 2. Patients are included in the denominator who have a principal diagnosis of ischemic stroke. There is no denominator exclusion or exception for in-house strokes.

      Hello, For inpatients who develop acute ischemic stroke during their stay, does the antithrombotic by EOD#2 requirement still apply? Or would these cases be considered exceptions to this measure? If not, would they be classified as fallout? Thank you
