Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS966v4: Appropriate Treatment for ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Patients in the Emergency Department (ED). The measure denominator includes all emergency department encounters for patients 18 years and older at the start of the encounter with a diagnosis of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) during an Emergency Department encounter that ends during the measurement period. The denominator does not include NSTEMI cases. You can reference the diagnosis codes that identify the denominator population by referring to the STEMI (2.16.840.1.113883.3.3157.4017) value set. The STEMI value set is available in the Value Set Authority Center (VSAC): https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov/valueset/2.16.840.1.113883.3.3157.4017/expansion/Latest.

Please note that you may need to create a free account to view the codes.

      Hello
Do NSTEMI's only qualify for the denominator for the OP STEMI measure?
      Thank you

I am seeing NSTEMI codes listed on VSAC.
