      Thank you for your inquiry regarding : CMS2v13 Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan. The eCQMs rely on the associated codes listed in the values on Value Set Authority Center (VSAC) to drive the measurement results. If one of the codes in the qualifying encounter value sets is documented, that meets the definition of a qualifying encounter. Clinically equivalent services may be mapped to the codes used in a measure's value sets to satisfy the denominator requirement. We are unable to provide specific guidance related to the mapping of codes. We recommend you consult with your EHR vendor and clinical partners. If mapping is conducted, you should maintain documentation in case of a CMS audit.

    • If sibling codes can be mapped to encounters in the EHR it may increase the number of eligible encounters.

      In the VSAC if you click on the code link for CPT code 59400 it opens a new window with what appears to be new information about code 59400. Under the Detail View column at the bottom there is a tile labeled Siblings by Parent. Within those codes is another CPT code 59430. What should systems know about these "Siblings by Parent" relationships and can these "Siblings" codes be mapped within the EHR under the 59400 CPT code? What do these mean?
