The measure assesses the most recent depression screening completed either during the qualifying encounter or within the 14 calendar days prior to that encounter. The intent of the measure is to capture the most recent depression screening. If a patient has two screenings on the same day, with the last one being negative, in order for the negative screening to meet the numerator criteria of most recent screening negative, the date/time of negative screening must be after the date/time of the positive screening.
