      Thank you for your question regarding CMS1028v2/PC-07 (Severe Obstetric Complications). If a patient is admitted to the hospital within one hour of being discharged from OB triage, vital signs collected in an outpatient setting within 24 hours prior to admission to OB triage could be evaluated for the measure, as long as the outpatient encounter is electronically accessible and/or can be linked to the inpatient encounter by the EMR.
      Similarly, if a patient was seen in an outpatient setting within 24 hours prior to admission to the hospital for the delivery encounter, the vital signs collected during the outpatient visit could be evaluated.

      For the ePC-07 measure, the specifications describe the timing for vital signs to be 24 hours prior to the encounter and before delivery.  If a patient was in an outpatient setting and then came to OB triage, can we use vitals collected during the outpatient encounter?
