We have been working on analysis of our ePC07 report in the October preview. There are some peculiarities about the data that we do not understand.

First, the denominator for the state of Florida is 20,218 and the denominator for Orlando Health (CCN 100006) is 14,252 - 70.49% of the entire state. That in itself appears suspect, but because reporting for the CY 2023 performance period is voluntary it could be that very few other hospitals in Florida reported.

       **

Our facility numerator was 300, leaving only 36 maternal complications reported outside of Orlando Health in the state of Florida. Is it possible to share how many other hospitals reported the ePC-07 measure for the 2023 performance period in Florida and nationally? It seems unrealistic that maternal complications at Orlando Health are such a large percentage of the whole for the state. As such, the comparisons provided in Care Compare would be misleading for this voluntary reporting year.
