Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS165v12 (2024 Performance Period). According to the measure steward, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), this measure does not include any requirements for outpatient total knee arthroplasty. The measure is patient-based, and blood pressure readings do not need to be associated with any encounter. The most recent blood pressure reading within the measurement period can be used, selecting the lowest value if multiple readings are recorded on the same day. For additional details on measure requirements, please refer to the measure specifications: https://ecqi.healthit.gov/sites/default/files/ecqm/measures/CMS165v12.html.

Can you tell us if an outpatient total knee arthroplasty would be considered low intensity?
      2. Is this measure episode based and should there be a blood pressure taken at every eligible encounter? if there is at least one blood pressure at one eligible encounter and not taken again for subsequent encounter, can we use the one blood pressure?
