Severe Maternal Morbidity Diagnoses value set is a group of other value sets. The logic only looks for the diagnosis code(s) within the Severe Maternal Morbidity Diagnosis value set. Nothing needs to be done with the categories displayed in the human readable header (Cardiac, Hemorrhage, Renal, etc.). There is no need to categorize it in the QRDA file. We hope this helps.

In the Numerator the logic is looking for Severe Maternal Morbidity Diagnoses. valueset "Severe Maternal Morbidity Diagnoses" (2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1029.255)

There are value sets for Acute Heart Failure, Acute Myocardia Infarction, Aortic Aneurysm, etc, but if all of these codes are included in the Severe Maternal Morbidity Value Set, and the others are not called out specifically in the Numerator Logic, are we supposed to do anything with these?

Do you want a Diagnosis Category reported in the QRDA file?

      Thanks
