    • This scenario is giving our facility failure even if the patient presented without STEMI

The patient presented to our ED (ED encounter). The chief complaint was feeling weak. ED assessment was unspecified anemia. Patient was admitted with Inpatient admit status after 5hours and 15 minutes in the ED. The next day the patient's EKG showed STEMI (now has ICD Dx code of STEMI). Patient qualified for the OP-40 initial population. Why will this patient be included in the OP-40 population when the occurrence of STEMI happened during the Inpatient encounter?

Another issue, the patient was not a candidate for PCI, why can't this case be excluded?

It caused a failure that was unreasonable and not a measure of compliance.
