Lowers the performance score because of the higher denominator and will not pass the numerator or lowers the numerator number.
STEMI patients who are =/> 18 y/o, increased the number in the Denominator, yet during the catheterization, it was determined that PCI is not the right indication, that the patient must have an emergent CABG, or the cath was only diagnostic, or the occlusions can be managed medically. For these cases, the denominator increases but not the numerator even if the start of the cath was within the 90-minute period if a PCI would have been indicated.
