Thank you for your inquiry about the advanced illness and frailty exclusion in CMS165v12: Controlling High Blood Pressure. The frailty criteria are further defined in the measure specification logic/terminology section. For example, "Frailty Device" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.118.12.1300) is one of the value sets used to define frailty that meet criteria. If you need any assistance in reading measure specification, please refer to resources available on eCQI Resource Center. Clinically equivalent services may be mapped to the codes used in "Frailty Device" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.118.12.1300) value set. If mapping is done, you should maintain documentation in case of a CMS audit.

Are there specific physical devices considered as a frailty device if we were to map individual devices such as wheelchairs, crutches electric bed etc.. or is any DME considered a frailty device?
