In a previously answered question (https://cmsqualitysupport.servicenowservices.com/qnet_qa?id=kb_article&table=kb_knowledge&sys_id=8012cb621beb5010a92787fce54bcb64) CMS responded that hospitals could update a patient's record to take information in a nonstructured data element and enter it in a structured element, so it can be captured in the database when QRDA I files are generated for reporting. Is there a timeframe for when this data needs to be documented in the structured field? Are we able to update the data at any point throughout the calendar year? For example, if we find a PCI date/time documented in the procedure note from an encounter in January, are we able to update this data in July of the same calendar year, so it is captured in the STEMI eCQM report?
