case erroneously failing as there is no clinical indication for PCI
Patient has ED dx STEMI. sent to cath lab for L heart cath and cardiac angiography within 60 min of ED arrival. During cath it was found there was no indication for PCI/balloon ( no narrowing of vessels) so this was not performed . This case fails for the measure because PCI was not performed. Coded with B2111ZZ Fluoroscopy of Mult Cor Art using L Osm Contrast
4A023N7 Measure of Cardiac Sampl & Pressure, L Heart, Perc Approach
which are not in the measure value set. should there be an exclusion for no indication or an inclusion of other cath codes ?
