Our facility, like many others, operates multiple satellite emergency departments under the same CCN as the main facility. When a patient arrives with STEMI at a satellite ED, they are transferred to the main facility ED for PCI treatment. Because these facilities share the same CCN, it raises the question of whether these patients should be excluded from the measure. If they are to be included, there is a need to determine which arrival time should be used – the arrival at the satellite ED or the main ED facility. 

1. Should patients arriving from Satellite ED be excluded from the measure? 

2. If satellite ED patients are to be included, which arrival time should be used (Satellite ED arrival time or Main ED arrival time?
