In the example provided, there is no encounter diagnosis in the "COVID 19 confirmed" value set. This scenario would not meet denominator exclusion criteria. We hope this helps.

      I am validating a case which is in the numerator population. There is a diagnosis code for  ICD10PCS 5A09557 Respiratory Support Procedures Related to COVID 19 on 5/12/2024. Encounter inpatient , relevant period interval: 5/7/24-5/17/24. There is no encounter diagnosis code in "COVID 19 confirmed". Does the patient meet the denominator exclusion criteria?
