    • Cases excluded where PCI happens during ED encounter

Patient had no prior surgical history. Presented to ED with STEMI. PCI was completed and then the patient was sent back to the ED and was there several hours prior to admission. It appears that the PCI is being captured as a major surgery because it happened during the ED encounter. Should these cases be excluded?
