Thank you for the question regarding CMS646 (Intravesical Bacillus-Calmette-Guerin for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer).

The three SNOMEDCT staging codes (369935001, 369949005, 369934002) became inactive codes after the measure was finalized for the 2024 performance period. These codes have been updated for the 2025 performance period; however, the measure does not include substitute codes for the 2024 performance period.

SNOMEDCT code 254292007 is an active code, and the measure also does not provide a substitute for this code.

      Hi,

      Please advise.

2024 Performance Year specifications for eCQM CMS646 has following SNOMED Codes for IPP/Denominator Condition.
      CMS646--Intravesical Bacillus-Calmette-Guerin for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer

Q#1. We use a 3rd party vendor data base to fetch different codes , they have replied that these 3 SNOMEDs are retired , -

--code "T1: Urinary tract tumor invades subepithelial connective tissue (finding)" ("SNOMEDCT Code (369935001)") *

--code "Ta: Noninvasive papillary carcinoma (urinary tract) (finding)" ("SNOMEDCT Code (369949005)") *

---code "Tis: Carcinoma in situ (flat tumor of urinary bladder) (finding)" ("SNOMEDCT Code (369934002)")

Are there any substitutes for above SNOMEDs ?

Q#2. Also following code is out of scope for their product-

Code "Tumor staging (tumor staging)" ("SNOMEDCT Code (254292007)")

Is there any substitute for above SNOMED?

      Regards,
