Please consider expanding the SNOMED options in this value set. At a minimum, we would ask for inclusion of 77386006 |Pregnancy (finding)|.

      Thank you!

    • Options to identify pregnancy diagnosis using SNOMED codes are overly limited.

Valueset "Pregnancy" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.3157.4055) includes only one SNOMED option: 255409004 |Pregnant woman (person)|.

It's an interesting choice, as it falls within SNOMED's Person and Social Context hierarchies rather than a hierarchy that would be typically be used to document clinical observations (like Clinical Finding). A quick perusal of VSAC seems to turn up only 2 value sets where this code is used.

At IMO, we do not map any of our Clinical Terminology terms to this code due to its position in the SNOMED hierarchy and inherent semantic issues. As a result, our extensive customer base is not able to easily document this code.
