Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS2v13 Preventative Care and Screening: Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan. The patient must have at least one encounter during the measurement period. In order to qualify for the encounter, you would need a code from the following value sets: "Encounter to Screen for Depression" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.600.1916), "Physical Therapy Evaluation" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.526.3.1022), and "Telephone Visits" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.101.12.1080).

The value sets and codes therein can be found on the National Library of Medicine's Value Set Authority Center (VSAC), https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov/ . The VSAC provides downloadable access to all official versions of value sets content contained in the eCQM specifications. The value sets are lists of unique coded identifiers with names (called descriptors) for groupings of clinical and administrative concepts selected from standard vocabularies.

    • Selection of quality measures to work on for MIPS PY 2024. Patient count in the denominator is very low.

Our provider is a NP and the EHR that she is using is practice fusion which only allows her to choose quality measures from the 14 measures that practice fusion is certified for. Most of her services are home visits and she is concerned that the denominator count for some Q measures is very low and should not be. To figure out what is wrong with the data we have reviewed the resource from CMS website but we still need some assistance to work on MIPS as we are opting to report the eCQMs and were directed here to get help.
about two months  have already passed and we want to straighten things up for MIPS before its too late. we are waiting for your kind response to get some details and answers. for example a common statement that we see in the guidelines for quality measures i.e. " at least one qualifying encounter during the measurement period ". If one could define this qualifying requirements? because it is different for different measures.
